Autumn Reflections, the Woodland Stream

Autumn, is there a more colourful time of year?

Here on a photography workshop we set out to find colourful woodlands and streams, here we found the perfect combination of both.

Image of the Week, Stormy Ireland

This week's image of the week is this one of a storm cloud and low sunshine in Ireland.

Check back next week for the next image of the week from Panoramic Ireland.

Autumn Woodland Stream, Ireland

I wrote recently about a woodland stream in Ireland - see here - and how we photographed the colour of the watercourse as it flows through the autumnal woodland.

Lush Woodland Stream in September, Ireland

The day was long and we visited the coast at sunrise, followed by a foray into the woods of Ireland's interior.

We made the coast our main focus but how could we have resisted the colourful charms of this woodland scene? Would you pass on this one?

Waves of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way

Ireland's west coast is often known as the Wild Atlantic Way, the coastal driving route that covers its 2500 km.

There are many famous locations along this magnificent route on Ireland's Atlantic coast, and there are plenty of locations that aren't famous at all but are worthy of a visit by anyone with an appreciation of the great outdoors, particularly the photographer.

Here, an image of those strong, relentless waves crashing upon the shore.

The Irish Graveyard in Colour

Graveyards in Ireland

The stereotype of graveyards often is that they are sombre, forlorn places but in Ireland, as indeed in many parts of the world, the graveyard is often a colourful place full of wildlife and of course most usually quiet.

Here is no exception, this small graveyard in County Tipperary shows traditional style crosses and headstones amongst bright grass under a blue sky.

I took the newly launched GoPro Hero 7 Black for a test out on the streets of Dublin recently.

Elephant Rock, County Antrim

The Antrim Coast needs little introduction here, search on panoramicireland.com and you will find dozens of articles and images on one of my favourite parts of Ireland.

Here is one of the more interesting locations that is not on the regular tourist trail but is well known to photographers - Elephant Rock.

Dublin's River Liffey and Morning Reflections

Morning Reflections from the River Liffey, Dublin

I usually photograph the River Liffey at night with the city's iconic buildings reflected in its calm waters.

Storm Ali raced across Ireland last week and Panoramic Ireland was photographing around the coast of Ireland.
