Exploring Ireland is filled with moments like these and other countless, priceless moments that make a visit to the Emerald Isle so special.
Moone High Cross dates probably to the 10th century, making it over 1,000 years old.
Carved from granite, it is the second tallest of Ireland's high crosses.
Enjoy the video embedded above showing a walkthrough of the site and the cross.
Join me, Panoramic Ireland, to photograph in the Irish woodlands in autumn, spring, summer or winter.
Enjoy the views, walking through Clonmel in County Tipperary and Dublin, the capital of Ireland in this GoPro made hyperlapse or timewarp video.

From an evening in Dublin, this short video features street scenes from around Ireland's capital city.
Two well-known pubs feature, The Ferryman and The Stag's Head, as does the River Liffey which was the main reason for our photographic adventure in the city.
On the photography tour we covered everything from long exposure architectural photography to street and documentary photography.

February 2017 saw me photographing a lot of studio images for my site darrenmcloughlin.com but I did venture out into the countryside both on my own and while leading tours in Dublin, Wicklow and Kilkenny.
Snow made a return during February 2017 and crocus flowers were in full bloom. The coast of course was a perfect destination with stormy weather and beautiful winter light.
Have a look at the YouTube video here for the show.
The year included some particularly beautiful scenes and January was no exception with colourful seascape sunsets, Dublin at night and ferns in golden sunshine.
Enclosed is the short YouTube video so watch, enjoy and like or even subscribe for more videos coming this way.
Killarney, Ireland's original tourist destination town is as scenic as it gets anywhere in the country.
Situated on a lake - Lough Leane, and surrounded by mountains including Ireland's highest Carrauntoohil this is a place that has seen a lot of cameras and photographers over the decades since the invention of photography.
As I was leading a photography workshop in Killarney I took an extra day for myself and captured some footage of Lough Leane a bronze age copper mining area, the cloud-topped mountains and the rowers, swans and other wildlife using the lake in the late evening.
The video finishes with an image of Ross Castle, an Irish tower house that dates from the late 15th century. It is typical of many fortified dwellings from the period when defence was important - outer walls, portcullis, thick tower walls, narrow windows and arrow loops amongst other such mechanisms. The castle is restored and can be visited. It has artificial lighting at night and looks well.

On a recent photography workshop to the Antrim Coast, specifically the Giant's Causeway, in between shooting images I made some video of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site that is close to where I grew up and studied at University.
I have written about the Causeway in recent weeks, you can read more about that here and to book a photography tour or workshop on the Antrim Coast please contact me here.
