Panoramic Ireland's award-winning Dublin Photo Tours are still, for the moment, unavailable for booking but will be back sometime this year when the easing of Coronavirus restrictions allows.

At the moment restrictions are not planned to be eased until March 5th 2021 but this may change and easing of restrictions will most definitely will not be quick and full for some time.

For the moment, instead of a private photography workshop in Dublin, why not take a private photography online workshop to discuss and improve your image-making skills and post-processing techniques.

When you go to any of the usual booking sections of the site such as for Dublin, Antrim Coast and Dingle you will see the dates blanked out until 5th of March 2021. Guns N' Roses are due to play a rescheduled concert in Dublin's Marlay Park in June 2021, the 2020 date having been cancelled due to Coronavirus / COVID-19.

The flower sellers of Dublin's Grafton Street are a famous sight on the well-trod thoroughfare.

They have brightened the streets of Dublin, and the lives of Dubliners, for centuries.

Here, a colour-filled flower stall with fine blooms.

In the background, if you look carefully, you can see the Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) statue outside of Bruxelles.

In 2019 the flower sellers of Grafton Street were accused of being "street clutter" by a property group who own several shops in the area, they later apologised and the flower sellers are indeed still there brightening up the streets of Dublin.

Dublin's Forty Foot is one of the most famous swimming spots in Ireland, and possibly the world.

With recent visitors including Matt Damon, Loudon Wainwright III and of course me, the Forty or 40-Foot also featured in James Joyce's Ulysses.

I have of course written here on Panoramic Ireland about the 40-foot, where I mentioned that the water is definitely not 40 feet deep. The name of this small coastal area in Sandycove comes from the 40th Regiment of Foot, a regiment of the British Army that were stationed here.

The list of people who haven't had a coffee or tea in Dublin's most famous coffee shop, Bewley's on Grafton Street, is short.

For decades it has been a meeting place for visitors to the Irish capital, friends rendezvousing for a coffee, cake and a chat at the central location.

Bewley's has also had real ups and downs in recent years, stuck with incredibly high rents on one of the most expensive streets in the world, with upward only rent reviews even during major economic downturns such as the Global Financial Crisis and COVID-19 and an incredibly uncaring landlord who - rightly or wrongly - wanted to collect all that rent regardless.

It closed in 2015 for a large scale refurbishment that took three years.

So 2020 saw Bewley's close again, for good it seemed back in May, however, late August 2020 saw the famous café reopen to cater to those in Dublin who want something with culture and a tasty coffee; Bewley's roast their own coffee and blend their own teas and for those not in Dublin you can find their beans and ground coffee in supermarkets or online - so for all you English speakers living in the EU looking for good coffee and tea, why not try some of Bewley's finest.

A Good long time ago now here on panoramicireland.com I posted A View Over Dublin, showing the city and some of its locations.

In that image, Dublin Port is just visible to the right hand side but the Irish Sea and Dublin Bay isn't; so I thought why not a view of the Irish capital in its famous surroundings of the Bay and the Irish Sea.

In this image above a scene over Dublin Port, Dun Laoghaire, Howth (the headland just right of centre) and Ireland's Eye beyond. Dollymount Strand is also clearly visible. Dublin Bay is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Things change, particularly in Dublin where little remains the same for long.

Take the Bernard Shaw Pub on Dublin's Richmond Street, once a hipster, artistic honeypot and now closed (although they did move, this site is being redeveloped) - this scenic moment captured on a Dublin Photo Tour.

A walk along Synge Street in Dublin.

Located just off the South Circular Road, beside Saint Kevin's Church and Portobello - Synge Street is a quiet and leafy street inside Dublin's canals.

In recent years it has featured in the Irish film Sing Street, a fine film set in 1980s Dublin that features the story of Conor Lawlor, his troubled life at a new school and his new found affection for Raphina (played by Lucy Boynton) whom he aims to befriend by starting a band.

Just to the right of the opening sequence is No. 40 Synge Street, where the character Raphina lives.

The film was directed by John Carney who also directed the Oscar winning film Once, Sing Street stars Aidan Gillen, Jack Reynor and Maria Doyle Kennedy as well as a host of new talent including Ferdia Walsh-Peelo who plays Conor.

On the west side of Saint Stephen's Green the visitor to this fine Dublin park will find a grand statue to Lord Ardilaun or Sir Arthur Edward Guinness, great-grandson of the famous brewer and founder of Guinness.

Many users of Dublin's tram, the Luas, will undoubtedly see his sedentary position from just inside the park.

The statue was erected to the businessman, politician and philanthropist in 1892.
