I didn't have a trip to view the sunset scheduled for today, but it's hard to ignore. Grabbing the camera and tripod, memory card and spare batteries I head off in the direction of the western sky.
Everything was calm and the sun had now set but was covering the sky with pinks and oranges, reflecting in the still waters of the lake, perfect for photography.
It was a brief fifteen minutes of quiet solitude on the shores of the lake, a crescent moon to keep me company.
Looks like tomorrow's early morning landscape shoot should have good weather if the old saying 'red sky at night, shepherd's delight' holds true.
And tomorrow's mission? A photography workshop in Dublin. To find out more click here.
