It's happening again, earlier this year we had the Luas strike that impacted heavily on visitors to Dublin seeing the two separate lines of the light rail shutting down at weekends and key dates such as St. Patrick's Day and Easter.
This time it's the Dublin Bus drivers who are striking, already with two days of stoppages under their belts the drivers are also not working on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th September 2016. Friday 16th is also Culture Night which will see tens of thousands of people out in towns and cities around Ireland but in Dublin they won't be able to use the bus to get home.
Ireland's River Suir
- Darren McLoughlin

The River Suir is Ireland's third longest river at 184km and seventh largest in terms of flow.
It rises in north Tipperary and flows south then turning north and east towards Waterford Harbour where it meets the Celtic Sea after flowing through Clonmel, Carrick-on-Suir and Waterford City on its way.
Bluebells Hyacinthoides non-scripta are a common sight throughout Ireland in late spring every year, particularly in woodlands.
Here in Sligo the whole woodland floor is carpeted with blue from the native wildflowers, rocks and trees are covered with bright green moss under a canopy of fresh green beech leaves.
Hello and welcome to the redesigned panoramicireland.com. I have been working hard on the site over recent weeks and have now had some time to get out with the camera on my own terms.
I've led several photography workshops in Galway over the past few days and today I had a day to myself that didn't include website designing.
It's Saint Patrick's Day, the 17th March, so I went to see the nearest parade and that was Galway. It was sunny again today just like last year in the small Atlantic coast city.
Snow and Sheep in Ireland
- Darren McLoughlin
- Category: Guide
Snow rarely lasts for more than a few days when it falls in Ireland. Save for in the high ground, above 600m where it might persist for the winter months on northern slopes.
So on waking today when I saw snow in the mountains it was a sensible decision to venture in search of the white stuff.
