A Dublin Street Art Tour

Canvaz Street Art on the walls of Dublin

It has been a while since I have written about a photo tour so last week's walk around Dublin with Em from Australia makes a good reintroduction to the story of the day.

Dublin Street Art - Colourful Evolution

I recently wrote and photographed an article about the street art or graffiti art of Dublin for top US website Untapped Cities

The city is being transformed day by day by the work of various artists, often collaborating with businesses, city authorities and residents groups to brighten walls, shutters and enliven whole quarters of the city.

From derelict districts to upmarket boutique shops wanting an extra presence on the streetscape out of hours, artists are creating something big in Dublin.

Photo Tour in Dingle, Co. Kerry

Colour and waves on the Wild Atlantic Way in Dingle, west of Ireland

I led a photography workshop this week in Dingle, Co. Kerry. The westernmost part of Ireland, Dingle is a peninsula of rugged beauty, waves lash the coast that in places is sandy, or rocky as seen in this image. Offshore lie the Blasket Islands, whose inhabitants were forcibly removed from island life in the 1950s.

The town of Dingle, known locally as An Daingean, is one of the prettiest in Ireland. Colourful streets, a working harbour, mountains and 52 pubs all contribute to the appeal of this popular town on Ireland's newly created Wild Atlantic Way.

Top Five Things to do in Dublin

Panoramic Ireland's Dublin photo tours have been listed as one of the top five things to do in Dublin by the Travel section of the New Zealand Herald.

Sitting alongside Dublin's most popular tourist attractions in the guise of The Guinness Storehouse, The Book of Kells in the Long Room Library at Trinity College and the tourist mecca of Temple Bar, our photography tours were commended for their tailored, one-on-one basis.

The Ancient Woodland

Ancient Irish Woodland

I have written about ancient woodland in Ireland woodland before. In certain parts of Ireland the remnants of ancient woodland survive, here is one such place nestled high in the mountains inaccessible from the demands of the wood cutter.

A cold and wet day in Sligo

The weather wasn't going to cooperate on this day that I had set aside for some photography in Sligo.

Cloudy Sligo And yes, the white specks are sheep on the mountain side.

What is a Photo Tour?

Here I will try to give more of an insight into what a photo tour with Panoramic Ireland actually consists of.

So, what actually is a photo tour I hear you ask. A photo tour with Panoramic Ireland is what you want it to be, street photography, coastal sunrise, sunset in the mountains, long exposures and night time photography with a balance of exploration and learning new skills.

Every day is an adventure, and it's about time you got out there and enjoyed it.

Each and every tour is designed to suit you, to take you to the best parts of Ireland without all that fuss of finding the right locations, to challenge your existing skills as a photographer and to explain those uncertain principles of photography that you have forgotten.
