Torc Waterfall in Summer, County Kerry

I have written about Torc Waterfall in County Kerry before, my last visit was during the winter on a trip to the Kingdom that saw me photograph snow on the mountains and visit some of the finest sections of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way.

Here, what is probably Ireland's most photographed waterfall, Torc cascades from behind a natural green curtain of foliage, notably brighter than in the winter image featuring only the darker shades of evergreen holly.

Coumeenole Beach, Dingle

Ireland''s west coast, the Wild Atlantic Way conjures up images of stormy ocean waves and barren rocky headlands.

And for much of its 2,500 or so kilometres it is that way, but it isn't barren and not always rocky; it is visually scenic.

Panoramic Ireland returned to Dingle recently for a photography workshop in one of Ireland's most beautiful places.

Here is the famous Coumeenole beach, complete with gull and those gentle waves that the Atlantic sometimes gives us. To the right is the rocky headland of Dunmore Head and the Blasket Islands beyond.

Ireland's Dingle Peninsula

Dingle is one of Ireland's most popular tourist locations, both for overseas visitors and locals, and with good reason.

Here, the lofty peaks of the narrow peninsula are overshadowed by clouds, casting their shadows onto the brown and green valley below.

The valley, carved by ice retains a few lakes and the quiet, peaceful feel so characteristic of the west of Ireland.

Dingle, Looking Different

I have been photographing and leading photography workshops in Dingle, County Kerry for many years now.

On a recent visit we made more than one stop at the famous Dunquin Harbour out on the west of the peninsula, close to Ireland's (and Europe's) most westerly point.

Seen here is one of the images created on that workshop, can you spot what makes it different to the typical view of this iconic Irish location?

Send me your answers in the comments section below or via the contact page.
