It is true that the rain helps keep the countryside in Ireland as green as it is, but from a landscape photographer's perspective the difficulty is to find favourable conditions where the interplay of landscape and light combine to create the right image.
That happens less frequently than with other types of photography, when working with studio light for instance - see my images of Irish designers', artists' and craftmakers' work here.
But when you are in the right location with great weather perhaps after many unsuccessful attempts, it can be an electrifying experience.
Here the blue skies and white clouds high and wispy, low and fluffy over the west of Ireland beach made a great Wild Atlantic Way experience.
