A Spring Sunset in the West of Ireland

The west of Ireland - it has great people, great food, great entertainment and great scenery and that all makes for the perfect location for photography.

Here I arrived late in the day to find this flooded landscape with a quickly setting sun blocked by clouds before it dipped below the horizon.

I opted not to use filters in this particular image, preferring to capture the essence of the bright evening scene as it was.

Connemara is a region, the western part of County Galway, that makes for perfect photography. Factor in the stormy, fast-changing weather and there is a perfect combination for the landscape photographer.

To join me on a Panoramic Ireland photography workshop in Connemara or somewhere else in Ireland use the contact page and ask for more information and learn how to capture the essence of an Irish landscape.
