On this visit the view from Dingle of Ireland's Magillycuddy's Reeks, the highest mountains in the country, with snow-capped whiteness was captivating as seen in this image.
It was a bright day with the blue sky and white snow sitting high above the bay filled with Atlantic water was worthy of stopping for. Patrick had visited Ireland before and is an experienced photographer, having visited over 50 countries.
This was Patrick's first time visiting the west coast of Ireland and having heard about the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland's 2,500km coastal drive along the western seaboard, he wanted to spend a day photographing the sights close to his arrival point of Shannon. He was travelling around the coast in his rental car and I arranged to meet him at an easy point where he followed me to our first stopping point.
Of course, it wasn't the only time that we photographed the snow-capped mountains, as we travelled around and enjoyed Dingle, the Magillycuddy's Reeks were often on the horizon.
As a landscape photographer in Ireland where snow is rare it is always enjoyable to see snow and Patrick saw scenery that he had not expected to find in Ireland, particularly snowy mountains.
