Take a Photography Experience in Galway

Panoramic Ireland are now taking bookings for our residential photography courses situated in Galway in the west of Ireland.

Book now for €1550 for our popular four-day workshop, half-board in a lakeside house with a maximum of three participants.

Itineraries will change depending on the weather, but every day here in the west of Ireland brings at least one great photo opportunity, and what an experience it is to spend a few days in the region, to really get to know it, and to improve your photography.

Day courses are available for €330 and longer courses can be tailored specifically for you.

 

A sample itinerary for our Panoramic Ireland Galway Photography Workshops

 

Arrival Evening:

Arrive at the house close to Galway - just let us know what time to expect you

We will look through some of your images on your website or in Lightroom

Dinner

A look through maps of the area and planning specific itinerary based on your interests and the weather forecast

 

Day 1:

Connemara coast and villages. Arguably the most scenic region in Ireland, Connemara still retains its unique character and our aim will be to capture a day's journey through bogs, mountain and lakes to the Atlantic Ocean and back again.

Dinner

Lightroom and Photoshop review

Techniques:

Photo Essay and general skills such as choice of aperture, shutter speed, composition and focusing.

 

Day 2:

Lough Corrib and Lough Mask, visiting archaeological remains, abbeys and castles. 

This journey takes us through some spectacular scenery so we will have plenty of opportunity to capture panoramic images.

Dinner

Lightroom and Photoshop review

Techniques:

Long exposure photography and use of filters

Panoramic photography

 

Day 3:

A short journey into Galway, visiting Salthill at sunrise then to Claddagh and a visit to some of the pubs

A trip through the stunning karst landscape of The Burren in Co. Clare

Sunset at the Cliffs of Moher

Dinner

Lightroom and Photoshop review

Techniques:

Blue hour and golden hour photography

 

Day 4:

Some on site locations, to the lake's edge, woodlands and some local attractions

Catching up on some Lightroom and Photoshop

Reviewing the images from the past few days and answering any specific questions you have regarding photographic techniques or digital workflow

Departure in the evening, or subject to availability, stay an extra night.

 

With only a maximum of three people on our photography workshops in the west of Ireland, take a few days with us and take home better images. Our longer courses take in a trip to the Aran Islands.
