Photography in Stormy Weather, Ireland

Written by

Sometimes it is easy to think of landscape photography in terms of the right light, the golden raking sunshine illuminating the countryside in front of the lens.

And it is true that landscapes with lighting like this are without doubt impressive and beautiful.

But dramatic skies, subtle lighting and incoming rain can make the scene.

Especially when you consider that this is how the landscape actually looks much of the time, cloudy skies and falling rain obscuring the distance, the mountains and sky almost blending into one.

Panoramic Ireland run photo tours and photography workshops in landscapes and weather like this. To join a tour contact me via the contact page.
