A Sunny Day in County Cork

A return to County Cork took me to it's beautifully varied coastline that I have previously mentioned here.

Unlike on that previous occasion the weather was not cloudy and moody but bright and colourful highlighting the bright greens found in the littoral landscape.

Actually this was my second time in Cork this week, on Wednesday 29th of June I had a media pass to photograph Don Henley and his support act JD & The Straight Shot at Cork's famous Marquee venue. There is a short post about that here.

Here, just after leading a photography tour, I stopped at this small cove where the lighting ranged from bright to overcast. The tide was out so it wasn't a suitable location during the tour itself when we visited more interesting sections of the coast.

But I found it worthwhile to stop for a break after a long day and enjoy the quiet calm offered by the inaccessible portion of the coast particularly as the tide was coming back in and providing some interest.

I captured a few of these scenes looking out to sea and nearby of agricultural landscapes, then after a long day it was time for fish and chips, taking in the best of the Wild Atlantic Way's cuisine.
