The Beauty of Sunset in Dublin

I often get asked what the weather is like in Dublin or in Ireland.

It's difficult to predict, the weather, but one thing is for sure - the weather here is a lot better than you might think, particularly for the photographer.

Here is a case in point, the day was cold but part way through the photo tour with AH from Washington DC the sky looked like it was going to bring rain. It didn't bring rain but what it did bring was one of the most beautiful sunsets that I've photographed in Dublin, and that's quite a lot of sunsets.

We were ready for it of course, following the best route for the conditions and it didn't disappoint. It's a real beauty, don't you think?

As the last golden rays of the evening sun blast the city's iconic Custom House, opened in 1791, its gleaming facade of bright portland stone radiates warm hues as it must have done for the past 230 years.

There is a little more information on Dublin's Custom House here: you can see another sunny image of the building to the right in my Dublin Photo Tours advert (or below this if on mobile).
