Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for Galway, Mayo, and Kerry, forecasting strong and gusty southerly winds mainly affecting coastal parts.

Potential Impacts

  • Debris and loose objects displaced
  • Some fallen trees and branches
  • Difficult travelling conditions

Valid: 00:00 Thursday 11/12/2025 to 07:00 Thursday 11/12/2025

Three of Ireland's western counties have been issued this latest wind warning from Wednesday night to Thursday morning following the immediate wake of Storm Bram.

The previous storm saw winds reaching over 110km/h in Cork, causing coastal flooding around the country and the loss of power to 25,000 homes and businesses throughout Ireland.

Winter can be an exciting time here in Ireland for sure and sometimes affords the opportunity to capture the wild Atlantic surging.
