Dublin's Winter Lights have illuminated some of the city's famous buildings for the second year. Created by Dublin City Council the lights switch on at sunset every night in December and stay on until 02:00.

There are 14 buildings and areas in total, including Trinity College, Hugh Lane Gallery and Christchurch.

As well as the buildings there are a few streets and Dublin's Millennium Bridge pictured above. This bridge has in recent times become known as the Rainbow Bridge and is back for winter 2022.

I photographed the sites on the first evening of operation, and from what I saw there is definitely a new contender in Dublin for top selfie location and that is the Millennium Bridge. A place that might even beat the famous umbrellas for selfies, Anne's Lane as seen here.

Within moments of photographing all of the locations there were people stopping for selfies, but here at the colourful pedestrian bridge spanning the River Liffey, the selfie seekers were out in force.

See more of my images on Dublin City Council's Facebook page here.

Take a Dublin Photo Tour by Panoramic Ireland this winter in Ireland and photograph the Rainbow Bridge and other parts of the Irish capital.
