Cyclamen in the Park

Written by

Lovely mix of autumnal woodland colours in the urban parks of Dublin

Dublin's parks are a great resource, I could bamboozle you with facts and figures but really the best way to find out about the capital's green spaces is to get out and visit some.

Cyclamen come in a variety of cultivars and are Mediterranean in origin. They usually flower during the late summer through autumn and winter before snowdrops announce the arrival of spring.

The little clumps of cyclamen through this park were probably planted by the park authorities but they certainly add a little splash of bright, contrasting colour against the lovely browns and reds of the recently fallen leaves.
