The last sunset of 2014 was, at my location, a little lacklustre except that the sun was an amazingly large ball of colour just before it dipped behind the cloud base on the horizon. But the previous few sunsets were lovely, quite what one would expect for the time of year in Ireland's West.
New Year's Eve and New Year's Day have been remarkably stormy with high winds constantly battering everything, driving rain sideways and upways and in all directions so as to thoroughly soak every surface. This special few days photography tour, centred around the New Year has been about sunsets and processing, a fine combination and with plenty of images.
As a result the first sunset of 2015 wasn't visible at all here but those colours from ther last week of 2014 are impressive enough to last a long time in the memory and in print.
