Perambulations in the West of Ireland with Camera
A lane stretches into a sunlit west of Ireland landscape with colourful grasses, in the distance are mountains under a stormy sky with blue, grey and white.

Perambulations in the West of Ireland in Changeable Weather

An Irish Autumn: Weather and Light

September can be a changeable month here in Ireland. The summer has ended, autumn is here, but sometimes the month just doesn't know what weather to give us.

On a photography workshop in the west today that's exactly what we got: warm sunshine, hailstones, rain, cold winds, and blue sky. All in the space of a few hours.

At one location it just made sense to follow the lane through the open countryside with vistas to distant mountains.

Join me, like so many others have, to photograph in Ireland whether that's September, October or any other month of the year. Ireland has photographic opportunities all year round and the best light is often after a storm.
