The Wonderful West of Ireland on a stormy day

A stormy day in the mountains of the West of Ireland

Another day in the mountains of the West of Ireland

A typical stormy winter's day in Ireland's West, the view of mountains and lakes with a celtic cross in the foreground. A bracing and worthwhile walk along steepening paths, past sheep, fences and field boundaries took me over the pass and to this view over the wild west of Ireland.

Out of breath and battered by blistering breezes, I was bewildered by the beauty of the bogs and bays of this big county in the west of Ireland.

Actually, alliteration aside it was a pleasant place to photograph.

Looking out over these awe-inspiring views was well worth the wander.
