Montbretia on Old Red Sandstone

Written by
Montbretia on Old Red Sandstone Montbretia on Old Red Sandstone

Light and nature. An introduced but colourful plant to Ireland, montbretia, with its orange and green growing from crevices in old red sandstone rocks.

Close by, bryophytes and lichens grow on the angular Devonian rocks.

A place where time passes easily, with no outside influence, just the sounds and colour of nature.
