Cork's famous bridge across the River Lee, one of many, seen here on a calm reflective autumn day.

The bridge has two names, Daly's Bridge is the official title but it is mostly known to Corconians as the Shakey Bridge.

The bridge is due for refurbishment, they will remove it and carry out repairs to replace it late in 2019.

This is a quick walkthrough, exploring the famous River Lee bridge opened in 1927 to connect the north and south banks of the city in place of a ferry.

Daly's Bridge got its nickname of the Shakey Bridge due to its tendency to shake as people walk across it.

The repairs will preserve the shaking feature of the bridge so locals should be happy.

I photographed the suspension bridge and its striking engineered structure in early November, complete with beautiful reflections in the River Lee below.

Check out the video of the walk across the Shakey Bridge on YouTube.
