Private photography experiences across Europe
Whether you’re visiting Ireland, or anywhere else in Europe, you can have a professional photographer and guide for your trip — just you and the people you travel with, built around your itinerary and the pictures you want to bring home.
I’m an Irish professional photographer. Guests from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and further afield use these private days and short trips so photography doesn’t get left to chance. Work has appeared in the New York Times, Easyjet Traveller and Ritz-Carlton’s magazine — beginners and serious shooters are both welcome.
London, Venice and the Isle of Skye each have their own dedicated pages with live booking where available. For Ireland destination pages, start from Photography Experiences Ireland. For everywhere else in Europe — Normandy or Provence, Rome or Tuscany, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, the English countryside, or a multi-country run — these tailored experiences are booked by enquiry. Send dates and destinations and I’ll reply with feasibility, a draft day and a quote.

France
Normandy’s coast and abbeys, harbour towns like Honfleur, the Côte d’Azur after dark, rural Mayenne and château reflections. Every day is built around your brief rather than a fixed tourist loop.
If you have a region in mind (Normandy, the Alps, Provence, Paris and surrounds, the Atlantic coast), say so in your enquiry and I’ll advise on season, access and a realistic day length.

Italy
Venice has its own private photo tour. For the rest of Italy, including Rome, Florence, Tuscany, Milan, Naples, Capri and the south, or a multi-town run, send an enquiry and we’ll sketch a route.
Hill towns, stone streets, countryside and early light reward the same approach as everywhere else: private, unhurried and tailored to your camera and level.

England
London has its own six-hour private photography tour. Elsewhere in England, whether countryside, coast, cathedral cities or a London-plus-day-trip combination, send an enquiry.
Germany, Norway, Switzerland and further
Germany, Norway, Switzerland and other European countries are open to the same private arrangement. The photographs on this page are strongest on France and Italy — that is the archive so far, not a limit on where we can go. Tell me what you want to photograph and when, and I’ll give an honest view of what the season and the light will give you.
Many guests combine Ireland with a French or Italian leg of the same trip. Scotland’s Isle of Skye has its own page under Beyond Ireland. Multi-country and multi-city routes can be discussed the same way.
The details
Duration: a full day, or a short trip of several days. Agreed when we plan the route — often fitted around an existing Europe itinerary.
Location: Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, England and elsewhere in Europe, by enquiry.
Group: private, just you and the people you bring, up to a maximum of six. No strangers.
Price: varies by destination and length of trip. You’ll receive a total, final price in the quote — covering guiding, tuition and my travel for that booking. Your own flights, hotels, meals, local transport and entry fees stay separate and are arranged by you.
Level: beginners to advanced. Any camera is fine, including phone, compact, mirrorless, DSLR or film.
Booking: these tailored experiences are booked by enquiry. Please enquire at least six weeks ahead — longer for peak season, multi-day trips, or if you’re locking in long-haul flights.
How it works
Live availability for specific locations: check out Ireland, London, Venice or Skye — book from those pages, which have full details and calendar booking.
Ireland or the rest of Europe by enquiry: send your travel dates, group size and destinations using the form below. I’ll reply with feasibility, a draft day or itinerary and a total quote.
Travel: you arrange and pay for your own flights, accommodation and local transport. My travel for the booking is included in the quote. I’m happy to advise on where to base yourselves so the photography days fit cleanly around your trip.
Private only: just you and the people you bring. No strangers.
Good to know
What’s included: my time as your guide and tutor, route planning, a review of your images at the end of each day, and my travel for that booking — all reflected in the total quote.
What’s not included: your flights, accommodation, meals, local transport and entry fees. These are arranged and paid for by you.
Weather: mist, rain and moody skies often make the best photographs, so we work with them. If conditions are exceptionally bad, we’ll adapt or reschedule the day.
Cancellation: Panoramic Ireland’s standard terms apply — cancel more than 28 days in advance and 50% may be refunded; inside 28 days no refund can be given. I’ll always try to reschedule if your plans change. Because travel and accommodation are booked by you, please choose flexible bookings where you can.
Feedback: after the trip, send me a few of your images for a critique.
