A Woodland Walk

Woodland Path in autumnal Ireland Woodland Path in autumnal Ireland

Autumn is really the time of year to be out there with camera in hand, or on tripod as the case may be.

Colour and character conquer the countryside as leaves turn and fall to the ground.

I took a trip to a woodland, and on arrival the weather was a little bit grey, mist and rain adding that real Irish character to the woods. But within a short amount of time the sun appeared and broke through the now thinning woodland canopy to illuminate the leaves that in previous weeks had fallen to the ground.

That combination of path, sunshine and blue sky with all the colour on the ground in front of me was the image of the day.

I love autumn and hope you do too, if you would like to send some of your favourite autumn landscapes for me to look at then visit my Facebook page.
